XVII International Conference «Insurance in Central Asia»
The International Conference “Insurance in Central Asia” traditionally brings together insurers, reinsurers, brokers, regulators, investors and technology companies to discuss the key changes shaping the region’s insurance market.
In 2026, the conference will focus on how the insurance sector is adapting to a new economic reality: the fragmentation of the global economy, the restructuring of logistics chains, the growing impact of geopolitical, climate and cyber risks, and changing customer demand driven by demographics and household incomes.
The conference combines strategic discussion with practical business solutions, enabling participants not only to discuss the future of the insurance market in Central Asia, but also to gain ideas for developing their own business today.
Conditions of participation
The cost of in-person participation is 400 Euros, 35,000 RUB, or 150,000 KZT (for residents of Kazakhstan). VAT is not applicable. The fee includes participation in all conference events (plenary sessions, master classes), informational materials, coffee breaks, lunches, and the gala dinner.
The cost of online participation is 200 Euros, 15,000 RUB, or 50,000 KZT (for residents of Kazakhstan). VAT is not applicable. A link to the broadcast archive will be available to all registered conference participants.

Insurance Markets of the EAEU and Central Asia: New Economic Reality, Risks and Growth Prospects
The global economy is undergoing structural change: geo-economic fragmentation is intensifying, trade routes and logistics chains are being reshaped, and the role of regional financial and infrastructure hubs is increasing. For the EAEU and Central Asian countries, this creates a new risk landscape and new opportunities for the development of the insurance sector.
The session will bring together representatives of regulators, professional associations and the rating community to compare approaches to the development of insurance markets in the EAEU and Central Asia.

- impact of geo-economic fragmentation on insurance, reinsurance and the investment environment;

This session will focus on the prospects for insurance market reform and on how market participants assess new opportunities and challenges for the development of the insurance sector. The discussion will cover financial resilience, quality of capital, the investment role of insurers, development of new insurance products and growth channels, reinsurance, market infrastructure and changing business models.

- which areas of insurance market reform are most important for business;
- how requirements for capital, resilience and quality of risk management are changing;
- how the insurance sector can become a source of long-term capital for the economy;
- what new business models may emerge at the intersection of insurance, investment, digital services and customer ecosystems;

Motor insurance remains one of the key segments of the insurance market and one of the most sensitive topics for insurers, regulators and consumers. This session will focus on the sustainability of compulsory motor insurance, loss-ratio management and the technological transformation of motor insurance portfolios.

- economic sustainability of compulsory motor third-party liability insurance;
- pricing model, bonus-malus and risk-based pricing;
- rising repair costs and the impact of inflation on loss ratios;

The session will focus on the development of insurance products that respond to changing customer life scenarios: rising healthcare costs, the need to protect income, care for family, savings and long-term financial resilience. The focus will be on products at the intersection of life and non-life insurance, corporate programs, voluntary insurance and digital customer support services.

- insurance of income, ability to work and financial resilience of the family;
- critical illness, accident and other personal protection products;
- voluntary health insurance and corporate programs as part of comprehensive customer protection;

Session 6
The New Insurance Customer: Income, Behavior, Financial Literacy and Demand
A practical session on how the insurance customer is changing: financial behavior, expectations, price sensitivity and willingness to buy insurance protection. Special attention will be given to developing voluntary demand and improving insurance literacy.

One of the key practical sessions of the conference will focus on new distribution channels and partnership-based insurance business models. Insurance is increasingly becoming part of banking, fintech, retail and service ecosystems, changing the customer journey and the way insurance products are promoted.
